Getting there

The Air Defence Museum is located alongside Highway 170, mid-way between Chicoutimi and Ville de la Baie, in the Province of Quebec, near the gate to Canadian Forces Base Bagotville and its commemorative park.

Hours of Operation

In the summer, the Air Defence Museum is open to the public from mid-June to end of September, seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.. During that period, two guided tours of the base are available every day at 9:45 a.m. and at 2 p.m. It is a good idea to call ahead and reserve. Groups of 20 persons or more must reserve in advance. Schedule two to two and half hour to complete the tour.

Out of season (End of September to mid-June) the museum can accommodate groups of 20 persons or more who reserve in advance. Guided tours of the base are not available during that period.

N.B. Entrance is free of charge for members of the Canadian Forces, Royal Canadian Air Force Association and Royal Canadian Legion.

There is a parking lot able to accommodate recreational vehicles.
Access for the handicapped.

Snack-bar, service station and ATM machine available on the base.
